February 13-15, 2009
marks the 7th year of
The Oklahoma Horse Fair
We’re looking forward to the 2009 Horse Fair and the return of many of our past vendors, horse and pony consignors, and horse enthusiasts. If this is your first time to buy, sell, or just come to shop and visit, you’ll enjoy the great facilities at the Stephens County Fair and Expo with heated stabling areas, climate controlled arena and exhibition area.
The selection offered by our vendors is always interesting, of high quality, with something for everyone.
Horses, horses and more horses (and 40 of the best ponies offered anywhere)! The selection is great and the sellers are reputable breeders, trainers, ranchers, and cowboys who enjoy good livestock and are proud to offer it for sale. Highlight of the weekend is the Western Ranch Horse Stakes and Sale with 50 top horses and riders competing for a 2009 Neckover® Stock Trailer and $2,000 in prize money. All competing horses will be offered for sale at auction after the contest.
Returning in 2009 is The Best Trail Horse competition which is open to all breeds and any age rider, the popular Stallion Avenue featuring horses of all breeds and disciplines, and a 5-D Barrel Race with $800 added and a Jr. Open Barrel race with $200 added.
Don’t miss our “Resistance Free® Ground Diving” clinic and “Measuring a Horse’s Potential” demonstration by nationally known Trainer, Judge and Clinician,
Mr. Richard Shrake.
Friday's clinician is Brian Holmes, trainer and exhibitor of World and National Champion Driving Horses. Brian's clinic will focus on starting a horse under harness for the first time.
Admission is free all three days. Please call 405-226-0630 if you need more information.
